NSU’s Counseling Center Director Receives Doctoral Degree

Vanessa Caldwell Jenkins graduated from Nova Southeastern University June 13, 2015 with the Ed.D. in organizational leadership. Dr. Vanessa JenkinsCaldwell Jenkins’ dissertation topic was Determining the Effectiveness of Faculty and Staff Training at a Historical Black College. She serves as director of the Norfolk State University Counseling Center. Dr. Caldwell Jenkins is active on campus serving on the Title IX policy and procedure committee, the threat assessment team, and providing training to faculty and staff on various topics such as stress management, how to identify stressors in college students, relationship issues, sexual assault, bystander intervention and more. Her research interest is women and professional development. Dr. Caldwell Jenkins prides herself on her engagement with students, faculty and staff.
