Norfolk State University and the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center are hosting a three-part series about living with cancer. Titled Life With and Beyond Cancer: Women, Men and Survivors, the first event will take place Friday, June 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center. Open to the public, the forum will focus on women who have dealt with cancer including their treatments, family life and their support systems. WAVY TV Channel 10 anchor Anita Blanton; Ashley Smith from WVEC Channel 13; and Delegate Daun Hester, Virginia 89th District, will serve as panelists for the first seminar.
