Founders Day 2016 Features Presidential Investiture

21600039215_2eca425e2c_qNorfolk State University officials are preparing to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the University’s founding with a week of activities from September 13 – 18. This year’s Founders Day observance will include an investiture ceremony for President Eddie N. Moore Jr. which will take place on Friday, Sept. 16. 21573849386_3ddd5d93ea_mEach Founders Day activity scheduled is designed to engage NSU’s publics with campus officials. Additionally, the activities will give the campus community time to reflect on the mission, purpose and ideals upon which Norfolk State was founded. The annual observance provides an opportunity to celebrate and fellowship as well as highlight the accomplishments of the institution.

  • Wednesday, September 14 — Founders Day Breakfast
  • Thursday, September  15 — Green and Gold Run/Walk
  • Thursday, September 15 — Inauguration Bash
  • Friday, September 16 — Investiture Ceremony
  • Friday, September 16 — Founders Day Ceremonial Walk
  • Friday, September 16-19 — Day of Giving (81 Hours of Giving)
  • Saturday, September 17 — NSU vs William & Mary Football Game
  • Sunday, September 18 — NSU Theatre Company Presents “No Child”
