Every mass communications and journalism student has traipsed the hall of the communications building . . . J. Hugo Madison Hall and spent considerable time in the lecture room . . . Room 156. Yeah, good old room 156. It was dark, dated, dusty and had its share of technological problems. But, that was the days of old. As the new fall semester arrives, students attending classes in room 156 will be pleasantly surprised at the lecture room’s refresh. Gone are the muted shades of green and dull beige/white walls and once dull/gray-green carpet. RRMM Architects and Charlotte Hennessey Interiors teamed up to redesign the space and the transformation is incredible! New flooring and wall décor open up the space and add an airy feel to the room. The space carved out for students in wheelchairs or other devices has been totally revamped with new seating and desk arrangements. To the faculty and staff who teach and learn in J. Hugo Madison’s lecture room 156 . . . enjoy your new digs!
