Brand Rollout Recycling Project

As you know, NSU will roll out its new brand next month. Along with rolling out a new brand comes the question of what to do with items displaying the old logo, tagline, typefaces, etc. In an effort to protect the campus environment, reduce paper waste, keep trash out of the region’s landfill and protect the earth’s environment, Communications and Marketing has partnered with Facilities Management to initiate a temporary campus recycling project. Beginning August 1, the campus community can dispose of old NSU stationery, business cards, thank-you notes, envelopes, etc. by depositing the paper items in specially created recycling bins located at the:

  • Marie V. McDemmond Center for Applied Research (MCAR)
  • Harrison B. Wilson Hall (Wilson Hall)
  • Lyman Beecher Brooks Library
  • Student Center

The recycling bins will also be available during the brand rollout pop-up events. The pop-up event schedule appears in this issue of Making Waves and will be posted in the Spartan e-Daily and other venues on campus. Make plans now to get rid of your old stationery and other paper items with the old logo. A big shout out to Facilities Management’s Environmental Health, Safety and Risk Management Office staff for designing the recycle bins especially for the brand rollout phase. Stay tuned for additional brand rollout recycling news.
